What a great weekend I had, once again. I felt honoured to be invited to the Fashion Hope Event held by Vernard Gould at the beautiful Sugar Studios.
Met so many fabulous people. So many talented people at one place. It was a wonderful feeling. Just being around 'our' Raphael Mazzucco's work was a reason to smile like a little kid in a candy store, inside. I had the pleasure of meeting his mom and son, Miss Canada Tara Teng, MP Joyce Smith, Sarazen Brooks,( one of my new favourite artist ), Marc of Fashion Hope, a very stylish make-up artist named Tristan and all my 'fashion friends'.
I'm so glad I attended the event because I really never knew that human trafficking was happening here, in our city! I'm so naive and that scares me. MP Joyce Smith spoke well about this dreadful problem. What hit me most was when a courageous survivor, Natasha, told her moving and disturbing story.
I applaud her.
It's Monday, back to work.
Thank you to Vernard Gould for the invite, Marilyn Wilson and Jose Luis Reyes for introducing me to people I should know. :)
